Les Rêveries d'Hercule — 5 rue de l'Étoile et 12 rue Boulbonne
Lucky me, I received a gift card in this café céramique last year, and I absolutely loved the experience. The idea is: you pick a ceramic piece (a plate, a cup, a bowl, a vase, among many others) and then you have 2 hours and a half to paint it on your own (you can ask for advice, it can be very useful, but otherwise you do whatever you want!). The price is pretty fair, considering all the equipment they have: 5€ + the price of the ceramic piece, which can vary between 10 and 35€. Most importantly, the session is very relaxing, and after 2 weeks, during which the pieces are glazed, you can use your artwork on a daily basis. This is also wonderful if you need to make a gift!
Baraka Jeux — 18 rue de la Bourse
If you have lived in Toulouse for some months/years, you should be familiar with game bars. If you are not (first, why??) or if you love the concept, you can try the Baraka Jeux: hundreds of games are distributed on a two-level space, for maximum fun. You can order drinks and little treats. Be careful, it is highly recommended to make a reservation (even for 2 people), because it becomes full very quickly. But the possibility to make a reservation also means that you do not have to wait outside, which is very nice.
Halle de la Machine — 3 avenue de l'Aérodrome de Montaudran
If you like to travel, here is a way to go to the ends of the world (or at least, of Toulouse). Although it is a bit far, the Halle is a big hangar in which many artists show their impressive "machines". These artists come from the worlds of circus, theater, puppetry, pyrotechnics, and music, and offer very innovative shows.
Among these machines, the most famous ones are the minotaur and the spider, which are meters high creatures that can be piloted! To go inside the hangar, you (students) need to pay 9€, and again 9€ if you want to go inside the minotaur. Also, you can still admire the minotaur walking even outside of the hangar, for free.
